A man that was wanted by police caused a three-vehicle crash in Sheboygan Tuesday morning.
According to the Sheboygan Police Department, an officer had spotted an individual in a vehicle just before 11:00 a.m. that they knew was wanted.
The officer pulled over the vehicle on North 13th Street near North Avenue.
The driver was cooperating with police and exited the vehicle, however, the passenger, who was the wanted suspect, refused to follow commands.
He then jumped into the driver’s seat and sped off.
While traveling south on North 10th, the suspect failed to stop at a stop sign and slammed into another vehicle that was traveling east on Geele Avenue.
That vehicle struck another car, while the suspect vehicle rammed into a home before coming to rest.
The 37-year-old suspect was not a Sheboygan resident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The second driver was also taken to a hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the third vehicle was uninjured.
The Sheboygan County Sherriff’s Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol assisted at the scene. No names have been released.
