A small child was struck by a car in Sheboygan Falls Saturday morning.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent to a home on Birchwood Drive at around 10:30 a.m. after receiving a call about a one-year-old child that had been hit by a car.
Witnesses say the child had run out of the house and simultaneously, a vehicle was being offloaded from a trailer.
That vehicle ended up striking the child, who was flown from the scene via Theda Star to Children’s Hospital in Wauwatosa.
The child received a broken collarbone and some facial injuries but is expected to recover.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department says the incident was a pure and simple accident.
