You may have noticed some technical issues with CBS News on WOMT over the last few days.
On Monday morning, a 3rd party satellite provider, SKYVIEW NETWORKS, “experienced unauthorized access to its IT environment, resulting in interrupted technical services.”
Which is fancy corporate wording for, the company was the victim of internet hackers at the home office satellite uplink.
The cyber intrusion caused outages that affect CBS NEWS RADIO and ABC NEWS RADIO affiliates audio feeds Worldwide.
Skyview Networks is still working to fully remedy the situation and has involved industry-leading forensic experts to help contain and investigate the incident.
No computers in the WOMT building have been affected by this cyber intrusion.
