Manitowoc and Two Rivers City Officials are scheduled to hold a joint meeting with the State Department of Transportation today.
Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley says discussions will center around the DOT’s plan to resurface all of Memorial Drive in 2025.
Additionally, Buckley told us, “We have got a meeting with our consultants in the DNR about the Washington Street Bridge. We would still like to see an improved bike/pedestrian facility at that location…that is something we are looking to do in tandem with the resurfacing.”
Buckley added that construction on Lincoln Street from 17th to 22nd Street will take place this year as well.
He projected, “That will be starting up early in the spring.”
Additionally, the city will be installing a new playground in Neshotah Park, which Buckley said will be on the location of the infield of the former ball diamond.
Bids are currently out on the playground project at an estimated cost of $400,000.
