The Manitowoc Police Department has announced the date for the 2023 City Auction.
This year’s auction will be held on Saturday, April 22nd, but not at the Department headquarters.
This year, they will be auctioning off abandoned items at the Parks and Recreation building, located at 1145 Fleetwood Drive.
Each year, the Police Department collects items that have been abandoned throughout the city, namely bikes.
Hundreds of bikes get stored in the basement of the Public Safety Building, and after giving the owner 90 days to claim their items, they are rounded up and auctioned off.
