The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced its first round of General Transportation, Connecting Highway, and Expressway Policing Aids for the year.
Manitowoc County is slated to get over $453,000 in general transportation aids while the City of Manitowoc is getting more than $467,000.
For comparison, Sheboygan County is getting just shy of $800,000, and the City of Sheboygan is slated to get just over $629,000.
This money is to be used on road projects as Governor Tony Evers and DOT Secretary Craig Thompson continue to address the issue of poor road conditions.
