In reaction to the increased number of car crashes at that intersection, the Brown County Highway Department has announced they will be installing concrete barriers at the intersection of Packerland Drive and West Mason Street.
The main issue with that intersection is that there are two frontage roads that intersect with Packerland at the same location.
The barriers will make South Frontage Road right turn in and right turn out only, as right now, drivers have been crossing over the usually busy street, and fail to see oncoming traffic.
This is a temporary solution, as the Highway Department is mulling over the installation of a traffic circle, better known as a roundabout.
The barriers will be installed the week of February 6th, as long as the weather cooperates.
