It may have been close a good chunk of the way, but a strong fourth quarter gave the UW Green Bay women’s basketball team a decisive 58-40 victory over a visiting UW Milwaukee squad.
The Panthers actually held a 1-point lead after the first quarter, but the Phoenix outscored them the rest of the way 47-28 to pick up their second win in a row.
In fact, the Panthers were held to just 8 points in the final frame.
Sophomore Bailey Butler led the way for the Phoenix scoring 15 points while Wrightstown graduate Callie Genke netted 10.
Emma Wittmershaus was the only Panther in double figures, scoring 10 points.
The Phoenix will take the weekend off before closing out a four-game homestand against the IUPUI Jaguars on Monday.
