The University of Wisconsin is banning TikTok.
The UW System yesterday issued an order that TikTok is not to be installed or used on university-owned phones, tablets, or computers. Students can continue to use TikTok on their devices.
The university’s ban comes after the state banned TikTok earlier this month.
There is a fear that TikTok’s Chinese owner can spy on, track, and censor American users.
The university is not saying just how many UW employees have university-owned phones, or how many of them use TikTok.
