
The Clipper City Chordsmen and their families gathered Sunday for a gala event at Meat’s Opera Haus in St. Nazianz.
Chapter President Don Lewellen recapped the Chordsmen’s activities and performances of the past year and expressed praise for donations made to music programs in local schools.
He also announced the Presidential “Sparkplug” award for 2022 going to Bill Fricke and the “Rookie of The Year” to Matt Tomac.
Bob Brey, a member of the Barbershopper of the Year Committee, announced that Bill Fricke was named Barbershopper of the Year.
Jim Rasmus, VP for the East Region of the Land O Lakes Harmony Society, conducted the installation and presentation of the Officers and Board of Directors for the Clipper City Chordsmen for 2023 and their responsibilities.
Lewellen was re-elected President, Jon Cisewski as Secretary, Anthony Schreiter as Treasurer, Keith Duprey VP of Music and Performance, Alan Boeldt is VP of Marketing and Public Relations, Rasmus is VP of Chapter Development and Board of Directors members are Rich Holzer, along with Bill and Bob Fricke.
The evening closed with the song “Keep The Whole World Singing” under the direction of Director Emeritus Roger Gottschalk.
