
A De Pere man is facing charges after he allegedly used a dating app to lure victims into an armed robbery.
28-year-old Marcus Rowan has been charged with two counts of Armed Robbery.
Officers responded to a weapons call on Davies Avenue at 2:45 on January 5th, where the caller reported a man held them at gunpoint and took items before fleeing.
The victim claimed the two met on a dating app, and that Rowan was at the residence for a “hook-up”.
Then, On January 17th, police were informed of another robbery that occurred at East Lawn Park in Allouez a few days prior.
The victim told police they were out at the bars with the suspect, later identified as Rowan, who offered to drive them home.
However, he allegedly drove up a dead-end street, held them up with a handgun, and told them to walk home.
He was eventually caught and faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted.
