The interconference Girls High School Basketball showdown between Brillion and Oostburg went to the host Flying Dutch last night 52-to-47.
The Lions were ranked #6 in the State D-3 Coaches Poll while Oostburg was #8 in that same listing.
In other games of local and area interest, Sheboygan Lutheran cruised past Reedsville 84-36, Kewaunee defeated Gibraltar 56-34, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran/Providence Academy beat Algoma 59-54, Oconto breezed by Sturgeon Bay 88-to-31, and Peshtigo nipped Southern Door 40-39.
In Boys Basketball last night, the highest scoring outburst of the night came at Carmen Northwest High School in Milwaukee where Hamilton, the #7 ranked team in Division 1 outlasted the host team 110 to 108.
The visiting Wildcats used a 60-point second half to wipe out a 12-point halftime deficit.
