Manitowoc’s Burger Boat Company has named Dave Burton as its 2022 Associate of the Year.
The award from one of the world’s oldest and most respected yacht builders celebrates Burton’s commitment to continuous improvement of his skills, knowledge, and leadership.
A member of Burger’s metals department, he’s described as a self-starter and leader within his department, where he promotes efficient pre-assembly of various components.
Burton can always be trusted to utilize his time wisely and advance himself and others to the next steps in the workflow.
Jim Ruffolo, Burger Boat’s President and CEO commented in part, “Dave’s loyalty, dedication, and ever-present quest for quality and reliability make us all better. His positive attitude, sense of urgency and great sense of humor inspire us all!”
A company news release also praised Burton for his positive example in mentoring youth apprentice students.
