Mishicot used relentless pressure to force numerous turnovers and the visiting Indians were able to pull away in the 2nd half to beat Manitowoc Lutheran 60-33 in Girls Basketball last night.
Coach Mike Garceau’s squad moved out to a 23-14 halftime lead and was never threatened, thereafter, in posting the 27-point victory.
The only player in double figures for Mishicot was Julie Koeppel, who poured in a season-high 26 points.
Kailey Tulachka and Christina Moyle chipped in 8 points apiece.
Marissa Mehlhorn paced the Lancers (10-and-6, and 6-and-5) with 11.
The Indians improved to 10-and-7, 7-and-4 in the Big East Conference.
Also last night, the Roncalli Girls Basketball team completed a two-game season sweep of Two Rivers with a 57-52 win over the Raiders.
The visiting Jets led at halftime 36-25 but TR rallied to tie it in the closing minutes, but Roncalli scored the final 5 points to win the all-lakeshore battle.
Lauren Stangel paced the Jets (2-and-7 and 4-and-13) with 20 points, Genessa Schultz chipped in 11.
Allie Kakes took game-scoring honors with 23 points for the Raiders, who remain winless in the EWC at 0 and 9, 2 and 15 for the season.
