Heart-A-Rama, the annual comedy fundraiser for the American Heart Association, returns to the Two Rivers Community House this Spring.
According to Producer Jim Pautz, auditions for “Heart-A-Rama’s Holiday Road” will occur at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15th, and again at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19th in the Behringer Room of the community house.
Pautz explains people trying out for a part in the annual show must be at least 21 years old.
Those coming to the auditions will be asked to read from a provided script and sing a brief song.
Pautz said that “Happy Birthday is acceptable.”
Cast members have to be available for all scheduled rehearsals, dress rehearsals on April 23rd and 24th as well as all performances.
This year’s show scheduled for April 27th through 29th and May 4th through the 6th will include skits and musical numbers that tie to real and not so real holidays, along with the Heart-A-Rama News and music from the Heart-A-Rama Pit Boys.
In 50 years, the shows have raised $3 million for the American Heart Association, along with donating AEDs (automated external defibrillators) to local nonprofit organizations.
Tickets for “Heart-A-Rama’s Holiday Road” are currently on sale at HeartARama.org for $19 apiece.
