The Friends of Point Beach State Forest have announced plans for their annual Candlelight Ski/Hike.
The evening of candlelit recreation will take place this Saturday, January 21st between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 pm.
The forest and trails north of Two Rivers will be glowing with hundreds of candle luminaries.
According to The Point Beach website, skiers and hikers can take an easy 1-mile loop candlelit trail, groomed for both classic skiing and hiking.
Trails lace through the pine and hemlock forest with a warming fire and hot chocolate available at the Nature Center.
The trail begins at the northwest side of the Forest Nature Center parking lot.
Dogs are allowed only on hiking trails and not in buildings.
A vehicle park sticker is required and can be purchased at the office on Saturday.
A tracked wheelchair will be available for guests and you can call 920-794-7480 to reserve a time slot.
