There are a pair of meetings planned for today in the City of Manitowoc.
First up is the Committee of the Whole, which will gather in the Council Chambers at 5:15 p.m.
After giving the public time to comment, the group will get updates on the former Mirro Property and the workforce housing project at that location, and regarding the Braun building in the River Pont District.
They will also discuss the purchase of some land with MPU before turning the Council Chambers over to the Common Council at 6:30 p.m.
The Council will start by swearing in the newest addition to the Police Department’s K9 unit, K9 Riley.
The Council will also discuss the idea of adding epi-pens to the emergency kits in City buildings before also discussing the status of the workforce housing project on the former Mirro property.
They will also discuss some potential WEDC Vibrant Spaces Grant applications for the Manitowoc Museum, Maritime Plaza, and the Heritage Garden.
As of this morning, these are the only meetings planned for this week in the Clipper City.
