The UW Green Bay women’s basketball team traveled to Fort Wayne Indiana last night and dominated the Mastodons in every facet of the game.
The Phoenix earned a dominant 60-32 win over Purdue Fort Wayne, their 10th win in a row.
As a team, the Phoenix went 6-6 from the free-throw line and picked up nearly half of their points in the paint.
They were also able to keep the Mastodons to 19% shooting.
Another big reason for their success was rebounding.
The Phoenix pulled down 52 loose balls compared to Fort Wayne’s 30.
UWGB was led by Appleton North grad Sydney Levy who tallied 12 points, while Bailey Butler added 11, and Kimberly grad Maddy Schreiber netted 10 points.
The UWGB woman improved to 13-3, 6-1 in the Horizon League, and are back at it tomorrow as they travel to take on Cleveland State.
Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the Wolstein Center.
