A junior student-athlete at Manitowoc Lincoln High School has been named one of two recipients statewide, of the “Do Good Wisconsin Students of the Month” for December.
Gabriel Nenahlo was nominated for the award by his teacher Mrs. Shaun Mulhaney,
In the nomination, she said “Gabriel is very deserving of this recognition because EVERY morning he comes to the school store, which is run by students with disabilities, to say hello. He checks in on them to see if they need help in the store before he heads to his classes.”
Shaun adds, “He also spends time in my classroom playing games, socializing and truly getting to know the other students in my room by giving advice, lending a listening ear and most importantly, setting a good example.”
Mrs. Mulhaney closed her nomination by saying, “In all my years of teaching, I have not met a young man with so much heart and compassion to give to other students. If only there were more Gabes in the world!”
