Madison East High School says it’s canceling its drag show because of a threat.
The school was planning for what it called a student-led, family-friendly drag show at the school next Thursday.
A Madison Metropolitan Schools spokesman said the show was noticed by the Twitter account Libs of TikTok, and that brought all sorts of national attention.
The spokesman says that includes some threats.
Former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker also chimed in on Twitter, saying drag shows are strip shows, and have no place in schools.
Eat High leaders are not saying if the drag show will be rescheduled.
