Human trafficking remains a major issue that tends to slide under most people’s radar.
According to the Human Trafficking Institute, seven federal human trafficking cases were filed in 2021, with 14 defendants being convicted.
The Sheboygan County Human Trafficking Task Force is looking to raise more awareness of the issue through their “Sheboygan Wears Blue” event this Wednesday.
Guests are invited to City Hall, located at 828 Center Avenue, between 11:00 and 1:00 p.m. to chat with Task Force members and learn more about what is being done locally to combat the issue.
