The Manitowoc Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting incident.
Officers were sent to the area of South 13th and Madison Streets just after 1:00 this morning.
Multiple individuals called 911 to report hearing gunshots in that area. Officers searched the area and located shell casings on the ground.
Several suspects were located during the investigation and were taken into custody.
One suspect was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on a Probation and Parole warrant, while another is being held on charges related to the incident.
Several other suspects were released, however, the exact number was not specified.
Lieutenant Nathan Barnes reports that as of now, officers have not located anyone who was injured in the incident.
LT. Barnes says that the public is not in any danger, although the investigation is ongoing.
