Two people were arrested yesterday after they were seen taking drugs outside of a Manitowoc auto parts store.
Officers were called to Auto Zone, located on Calumet Avenue just before 3:30 p.m. on a report of a man and a woman sitting in a car, as the caller stated, “shooting heroin”.
Officers approached the vehicle and saw a 49-year-old woman in the driver’s seat with a hypodermic needle in her hand, and a 41-year-old man in the passenger seat.
Another needle was found on the woman’s person, and a folded-up piece of tin foil with burn residue was found in the man’s pocket.
Additional drug paraphernalia and a baggie with a white, crystal substance was found in a backpack in the car as well.
Both individuals were arrested, with the man being charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Felony Bail Jumping.
A list of charges was not included for the woman, and as of this morning, her case had not been added to CCAP.
