A 24-year-old Green Bay man has been arrested in connection to the killing of a 42-year-old man on December 20th.
The Green Bay Police Department had officers go to a home in the 1300 block of Smith Street yesterday morning to look for a person of interest, and upon their arrival, saw a man run into the home.
Everyone else in the residence exited without an issue, but the man the officers wished to speak with stayed inside.
SWAT was called in while negotiators spoke with the individual. At around 2:30 p.m., SWAT forcefully entered the home and arrested the 33-year-old man, who was not the person they were looking for in connection to the homicide.
However, officers in Oconto did find the person the GBPD was looking for and took him into custody.
The yet unnamed suspect has not yet been identified but has been transferred to Green Bay for questioning.
