Even though more and more people are opening up about their mental health problems, suicide and self-harm continues to be an issue all over the country.
A Whitelaw organization known as The Production Farm is looking to help tackle the problem on a local level.
Wyatt Kuether, Founder & President of The Production Farm was on the Jim and Rick Show last week Friday, and he explained what it is they do at their facility located at 9003 Polifka Road in Whitelaw.
He said, “We are an outpatient behavioral and mental health clinic, and we are very non-traditional in our approach and very outside of the box in the way we approach our services.”
Kuether noted that they are located on a 10 acre farm, which gives them the opportunity to shift their approach based on each individual that walks through their doors.
“So instead of saying there is one way to do something, or one particular take out a textbook…looking at an individual as a 100% unique being,” he said. “Nobody is a walking talking diagnosis. We all have a history with our lives.”
He went on to note that, “What we have found…is that there is a higher percentage of success and that that rate is so much more significant if we do this completely unique, one-off, custom per person.”
