
The U.S. Coast Guard was called in to help two fishermen who were stranded in Sturgeon Bay yesterday.
Then men were ice fishing near Sherwood Point Wednesday morning when the ice broke away, and the men were stranded.
A passerby noticed the men and called 911 just after 11:00 a.m.
The Door County Sheriff’s Department, local fire crews, and the Coast Guard all showed up to help the men.
A raft was used to get the men back to land safely.
No injuries were reported, and the scene was cleared by around 12:15 p.m.
