Janice Mae Keehan, 84, of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side on Saturday, December 24, 2022.
Janice was born on July 31, 1938, in Manitowoc to Frank and Leona (Hastreiter) Kuehnl. She married Donald Hall who preceded her death in 1970. On April 28, 1972, Janice married Gerald Keehan. Janice was a switchboard operator for AT&T until they closed and then a car hop at Phil’s Drive In. She ended her career as a receptionist for Hamilton, Ind. Janice enjoyed rummage sales, auctions and was an avid collector of many things. She loved hanging out with her family and friends and captured everything in pictures. She loved her dogs Penny, Mindy, Megan, and Abbie.
Janice is survived by her husband of 50 years: Jerry Keehan. Children: Scott Hall (Stacy) and Chris Hall; Stepchildren: Julie (Carl) Stueck, Scott (Bette) Keehan, Jeffery (Debbie) Keehan, Michael (Michele) Keehan and Amy (Tim) Groeschel. Grandchildren: Natania Hall (Lexi), Kyle Keehan (fiancé Kevin Du), Austin Keehan (fiancé Kayla Hackl), Aaron Keehan, Alex Keehan, Ryan Keehan, Rachel (Michael) Jahns, Brendan (Kelli) Keehan, Gwendolyn Groeschel and Caden Groeschel. And great grandson Callen Jahns. Siblings: Karen Carlo, James (Debbie) Kuehnl, Mary Beth (Dan) Karbon, Wendy (Porfirio) Ortiz and Vickie (Kurt) Pegel and sister in-laws Pam Kuehnl and Rosa Kuehnl. Brothers and sisters-in-laws: Richard Hall, Jean (Tom “Scott”) Mulhaney, Jack (Mary) Hall, Jeanne (Richard) Guenther and Lois (Larry) Waack; 2 sisters-in-law, Joan Keehan and Marian Keehan. And many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Donald Hall; her parents Frank and Leona Kuehnl; her brothers: David Kuehnl, Steven Kuehnl, and infant Randy Kuehnl; sister Sandy Kaderabek; brothers-in-law Charles “Butch” Kaderabek and Larry Langley; nephew Korey Kuehnl; and infant great nephew, Jacob Cherney.
A Memorial service will be on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11:00 am at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th St. Manitowoc, with Deac. Al Boeldt officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00am.
