The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is telling people to stay home during the worst of today’s winter storm.
Wis-DOT managers yesterday said not only do plow crews need time and space to clear the roads, they said heading out in this winter storm only increases the chance that you’ll get stuck in a ditch or get into an accident.
That puts first responders at risk. Wis-DOT says it’s the blowing snow and blizzard-like conditions that worry them the most.
