The man who was convicted in the 2021 stabbing death of a 70-year-old man has been sentenced.
24-year-old Wesley Brice will spend the next 79 and a half years in prison for the attack on March 15th, 2021.
It all started when Brice walked into Rockabilly’s Saloon on South Broadway.
A female bartender was the only other person in the bar, and when Brice began hitting on her, she refused his advances.
Brice then went behind the bar with a knife and began attacking her.
The woman was able to escape and fled to the neighboring bar, Rum Runners. Brice got into his car and slammed it into Rum Runners before fleeing on foot down the road.
He found a vehicle waiting for a train to pass, pulled the 70-year-old driver out of the car, and stabbed him to death.
Brice was previously found guilty due to no-contest pleas on numerous charges including 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, and two counts of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
