Four community organizations continue to gather public input on the needs for childcare in Manitowoc County and its impact on our area workforce.
The survey, compiled by Lakeshore CAP, Progress Lakeshore, the Chamber of Manitowoc County, and United Way Manitowoc County, was launched in late November to help identify key issues and provide better support and services in the community.
To date, just over 500 people have completed the survey and shared their input and thoughts.
Early findings from the 501 completions indicate that for those not currently employed, Childcare issues are a factor with 56% of respondents, and the top factor of 12 that were measured.
45% of respondents indicate that childcare issues have a significant impact on their ability to fully participate in the Manitowoc County workforce.
The survey will continue to be open through late December, with full results available in January.
