At least two Common Council races will be contested in the City of Manitowoc.
Last week we reported that Brett Vanderkin in District 1, and Todd Reckelberg in District 10 had already returned their nomination paperwork for the April election, but since then, two more people have submitted theirs.
Raymond T. Geigel will be opposing Vanderkin in District 1, while Brian Anderson will be running for the District 7 seat, currently occupied by Tim Boldt.
Other positions up for grabs will be the District 2 seat held by Chad Beeman, who has also returned his paperwork, and Michael Cummings seat in District 3.
Meanwhile, in Two Rivers, City Clerk Jamie Jackson tells us that six people have taken out nomination papers for the three available seats.
Council President Adam Wachowski, Vice-President Darla LeClair, and Council Member Bonnie Shimulunas’s seats are all up for grabs in April.
As of yesterday, the only person to return their paperwork is Dean LaRose.
Those looking to run must return their paperwork by no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 3rd.
