One of the stores that customers here on the lakeshore often visit right before or after a significant snowfall is ACE Hardware on Menasha Avenue.
Seehafer News spoke yesterday morning with owner Dale Lindner, who said. “Customers have been in for things they may have forgotten, or found out their shovel isn’t in as good of shape as it had been.”
People have also been getting replacement blades for their shovels and of course getting new snowblowers.
Lindner also told us another item people were buying yesterday was ice melt “for the type of stuff we have…where it’s easy to compact and slip.”
Speaking of that most popular and useful machine in winter, Lindner tells us the newest item coming into focus is the battery-powered snowblower.
He explained, “The improvement in those and the ability to use the battery platform…that’s probably the newest and most interesting thing that is gaining a lot of interest.”
Lindner and his staff are well-known as being a place where customers entering the store immediately receive the help they need in locating a certain item.
As for dealing with the aftermath of winter weather, Dale said ice melt has been the product most sought-after by customers in their store this week.
