The man accused of killing Starkie Swenson in 1983 and dumping his body at High Cliff State Park has pleaded not guilty.
John Andrews is facing a charge of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer in the case.
Andrews was previously convicted in 1994 for the killing of Swenson, but the body was not located until hikers spotted it in September of 2021 at High Cliff State Park.
Andrews was initially charged with Hiding a Corpse, but a judge ruled that his actions and statements did not actually meet the definition of the crime.
Andrews is free on a $500 signature bond and will be back in court on February 16th for a scheduling conference.
