The individual has been identified as 31-year-old Michael Destaercke. He has been charged with Failure to Comply with Officer’s Attempt to Take a Person into Custody, a Probation Violation, and Two Counts of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.

A 31-year-old Green Bay man is in police custody after a 7-hour standoff yesterday.
The incident in the 700 block of South Ridge Road began at around 12:15 p.m. when officers saw a person they knew had active warrants.
The officers attempted to make contact with the individual, but he refused to exit the home.
A SWAT team and conflict negotiators were called in to assist.
South Ridge Road and Shirley Street were closed off and Franklin Middle School was placed on lockdown.
With the man continuing to refuse to come out, SWAT and K9 officers forced entry into the home at around 7:45 p.m., finding the man hiding in a closet.
The investigation into the situation continues, with no additional details being released.
