The judge and jury did not waste any time in the Outagamie County Courthouse yesterday afternoon.
Jurors deliberated for less than an hour before finding Mathew Beyer guilty of killing his children in 2020, and less than an hour after the verdict was read, the judge sentenced him to life in prison without parole.
Closing arguments were made by both sides Tuesday morning, and by 3:00, the Judge was ready to sentence.
Beyer was convicted on two counts of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide for the stabbing deaths of 5-year-old William and 3-year-old Danielle Beyer in their mother’s Kaukauna home.
He was also convicted previously for attempting to escape from the Outagamie County Jail.
