A Manitowoc teen is facing drug charges after being involved in a crash Friday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of South 13th and Columbus Streets just before 9:00 a.m. to investigate the two-vehicle crash.
Witnesses reported that a male subject exited one of the vehicles and hid behind a nearby house.
An officer went to the area where the suspect was seen hiding, where he found a Walmart bag containing nearly 88.5 grams of marijuana.
A witness positively identified the suspect, who was under court order to “attend Lincoln High School every hour of every scheduled school day”.
Charges of Possession of THC with Intent to Deliver and Felony Bail Jumping have been filed against the teen, who Captain Pete McGinty tells us was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail as a “juvenile who had been waived into adult court.”
