A Manitowoc man was arrested for the third time in two weeks on bail-jumping charges over the weekend.
Officers were called to a residence in the 2300 block of South 23rd Street just after 6:30 p.m. on Friday on a report that 51-year-old Brian Bell was “highly intoxicated”, and was driving to a liquor store.
The police report indicates that Bell was released from jail only hours prior to the call coming in.
The officer conducted a traffic stop, where he noticed three empty miniature Jack Daniels bottles in the back of his vehicle.
Bell called the officer a derogatory term and claimed he was given the ok to drive.
A quick search of the police system indicated that was not correct.
Bell continued to be belligerent toward officers as he was taken into police custody.
He is once again facing 13 bail-jumping charges, 12 of which are felonies.
