Jessica Loney
A Manitowoc woman has been sentenced for her role in a high-speed chase that injured a K-9 Deputy.
31-year-old Jessica Nicole Loney was found guilty due to no-contest pleas of charges of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Striking a Police Animal, Fleeing an Officer, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Felony Bail Jumping, and has been sentenced to 18 months in prison followed by four and a half years on extended supervision.
According to police reports, Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to pull over Loney and 29-year-old Juan Flores back in April as they were occupying a stolen SUV.
Flores, who was behind the wheel, took off through the township of Manitowoc Rapids at speeds over 100 miles per hour.

He turned down a dead-end road, and when he realized his mistake, Flores rammed into police vehicles and attempted to flee on foot.
Loney then got in the driver’s seat, nearly struck deputies, and pinched K9 Leon between two vehicles.
She was able to escape, but only briefly, as she was caught a short time later.
K9 Leon was treated for minor injuries.
