The state of Mississippi says Brett Favre repaid the $1 million he was wrongfully paid back in 2017, but now they want the other $5 million in welfare money that he should not have received.
Mississippi’s Department of Human Service yesterday asked Favre to repay the $5 million that he helped guide to the University of Southern Mississippi.
The state says Favre ‘orchestrated’ the payment from TANF funds to the school to help build a volleyball court.
Favre has not been charged with a crime in the case, and has asked that he be dropped from the case going forward.
