Progress Lakeshore, Lakeshore CAP, the Chamber of Manitowoc County, and United Way Manitowoc County are looking to gather information from the community.
The local organizations have hired Leede Research to conduct a Childcare & Workforce Study, which Progress Lakeshore Executive Director Jamie Zastrow says will “help both parents with childcare needs, and employers who need workers.”
National data indicates that childcare can be a key factor in limiting workforce participation both in terms of numbers and schedule availability.
The access, quality, trust, and cost of childcare is important if Manitowoc County wants to maximize opportunities with an aging workforce.
This 10-minute study will help the local organizations figure out ways to make things better locally.
