A man is facing charges after he fled from Manitowoc Police Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were informed that the 25-year-old man had left the Probation and Parole Office on Maritime Drive just after noon.
His vehicle was quickly located traveling west on East Magnolia Avenue.
The responding officer began following the man, who turned north on Johnston Drive, swerving around vehicles at speeds of around 40 miles per hour.
It should be noted that the speed limit is 25 MPH in that area.
The truck eventually ended up in a ditch near the intersection of Johnston and Goodwin Road.
The man was quickly taken into custody on a charge of Fleeing or Eluding an Officer.
According to CCAP, the man has an open case where he is charged with Possession of Narcotic Drugs and two counts of Knowingly Violating a Domestic Abuse Order. He was free on a $1,500 recognizance bond.
