A Scout troop in Chilton is trying to figure out who stole four Christmas Trees from them.
Troop 810 began selling trees out of the Scoops Ice Cream House parking lot, located at 131 East Chestnut Street in Chilton, to raise money for troop activities.
Troop leaders say they brought 40 trees to sell, and when they arrived to open the lot up for the first time, they were down to only 38.
Then, a couple of days later, it happened again.
Two more trees were taken.
A police report has not yet been filed, but the troop’s adult leader said they do plan on reporting the situation to the Chilton Police Department.
The scouts have not lost faith, however, as they will continue to sell the trees they do have from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today and tomorrow, and from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
