Senior Brock Peterson nailed 6 three’s including the game-winner with 7 seconds remaining to give Manitowoc Lincoln a 65-63 win over visiting Hartford last night.
Peterson scored a game-high 31 points in the Ships’ season opener at the JFK Fieldhouse.
With the loss, the Orioles from the North Shore Conference dropped to 1 and 1.
Coach Thadd Cornell’s team also received 13 points apiece from Bryce Erdmann and Brayden Steinbecker.
But, it was Ben Wollersheim’s block in the lane in the closing seconds that prevented Hartford from possibly tying it and securing a Lincoln victory.
Bryce Duhr and Brady Isselmann paced the hot-shooting Orioles with 13 points.
The Ships play another non-conference game tomorrow night (December 1st) at Seymour.
