The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has released the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates of unemployment in Wisconsin for October 2022.
Preliminary non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rates decreased or stayed the same in 71 of 72 Wisconsin counties over the month. Over the year, 10 of 72 Wisconsin counties had unemployment rates decrease or stay the same.
The Non-seasonally adjusted rate for Manitowoc County was 2.6% unemployment down from 3.0% in September. Sheboygan County’s October rate fell from 2.8% to 2.4%. while Brown County’s rate was down 3-tenths of a point from 2.9% to 2.6%.
Calumet County was down from 2.6% in September to 2.2% in October and in Kewaunee County, October’s numbers were also down from 2.7% to 2.3%.
