The man convicted in the deadly Wisconsin parade attack is receiving six life sentences without the possibility of early release.
Darrell Brooks was convicted of murdering six people after driving his SUV into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, near Milwaukee in 2021.
Before his sentencing, a defiant Brooks blamed the prosecution for, in his words, falsely claiming the attack was intentional.
He spoke for hours, sometimes rambling, proclaiming the entire trial was unjust.
At one point, he was moved to a separate courtroom at one point following multiple outbursts.
Brooks was also sentenced on other counts, including 61 counts of reckless endangerment and six counts of hit-and-run causing death.
He received more than 762 years for 61 reckless endangerment counts.
