
Two Rivers High School junior Chase Matthias has been named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State team.
Matthias, a two-way starter for the 12-and-1 Raiders, was voted 1st team Inside Linebacker after being in on 117 tackles, registered 30 TFL’s (tackles for a loss), 5 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions and 2 sacks.
The 5′ 11″ 200-pound athlete received Honorable Mention on Offense along with Raiders Quarterback Justin Klinkner, who is a junior.
Defensive lineman Bryant Dortman of Howards Grove and Punter Jonah Goetsch of Denmark were also accorded Honorable Mention.
Another WFCA Small School All-Stater from the area is wide receiver Gabe Egan of Cedar Grove-Belgium and of local interest, Punter Sam Klestinski of Edgewood High School in Madison was named All-State.
Sam is the grandson of Hall of Fame Roncalli Football Coach Ron and Darb Klestinski of Manitowoc.
