The Rotary Club of Two Rivers is inviting the public out to Two Rivers High School this morning for the unveiling of the City’s first-ever Peace Pole and reflection space.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the rear parking lot of the school located at 4519 Lincoln Avenue.
Following a string of tragedies at schools around the country, the Two Rivers Rotarians decided to create the Two Rivers Peace Pole Project.
This monument has written on it “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in English, Czech, Spanish, Hmong, and braille.
The Peace Pole originated in Japan in 1955, and today, there are over 250,000 poles all over the world.
