Yesterday’s incident at the Manitowoc Public Library has been explained. A report from Police Captain Matt Wallander says they were sent to the library on a report of a patron having a mental health crisis, and it was reported that the subject might possibly be armed. The incident occurred just before 3 pm, and police responded with weapons drawn. They were able to identify the subject and determine that he had no weapons. The subject was brought to a local medical facility to receive proper care. Captain Wallander says the incident is considered closed, and no further information will be released.
