Jordan J. Leavy-Carter
Charges have officially been filed against a Green Bay man in connection to the death of a 5-year-old girl.
35-year-old Jordan Leavy-Carter has been charged with 2nd Degree Reckless Homicide and is being held on a $500,000 cash bond.
The criminal complaint states that Skye Bleu Evans-Cowley and her cousins were playing in an apartment in the 1600 block of Amy Street on October 17th.
Leavy-Carter then allegedly gave the children a gun that had a laser pointer attached to it.
One of the young girls, also 5 years old, pointed the gun at Evans-Cowley, and, as she told police, “touched the wrong button and it came out like fire, and it hit [Skye Bleu].”
She later died from her injuries. Leavy-Carter denied giving the children the gun, and claimed he fled because it looked “bad” and he “didn’t have a lawyer or bail money.”
He is due back in Brown County Court on December 1st.
