Ascend Services Inc. has begun the renovations to the Community Center.
Crews from Hamann Construction began the demolition of inside structures to open spaces on Monday.
The project which is being partly funded through a grant Ascend received from the Otto Bremer Trust is slated to be finished in early December.
Deanna Genske, the Executive Director of Ascend explained that this space will allow them to design some creative separate rooms which will be themed and vary from sensory to an art studio.
She went on to say, “We are grateful that we have secured some of the funding for this project, but it is critical that we strive to achieve more.”
In addition to the creation of six themed rooms, renovations include electrical work, HVAC remodeling, and replacing the roof.
